Program Outline Our 33nd Year
After all these years, we are proud of players who have attended the NYBA. Many of them have gone on
to be successful in High School, College, and Professional Baseball. This is
where it all started. At the Academy, parents and players have realized that We Can Make the Difference.
Players receive a workout schedule that fits into our structured daily
routine. Willingness to learn and be instructed by our experienced staff will
determine your progress each week. Initially, students are grouped by age and
then regrouped by their ability. Last summer, our
player to staff ratio was 6.8:1. The daily instructional program will stress
the fundamentals of Hitting, Fielding, Throwing, & Base stealing. Each player
will participate in a Daily Position Workshop (Specialties). The emphasis
during Specialties is on Pitching, Catching, & Infield. Students will
participate in instructional games on a daily basis. Coaches will stress
defensive and offensive play with emphasis on team effort. Daily Awards.
"World Series Games" are held each Friday. Each player receives a comprehensive
written evaluation with suggestions for improvement
at the conclusion of each session.
